We had our first mid-term yesterday morning in Art History. It turned out to be much easier than I thought. She does a great job of teaching the material and making it interesting, so the test was not bad at all. All essays, but when you go to class for 4 hours a day, and then go straight into the test without other classes to distract you or anything else from a typical semester at SMU that would normally get in the way, the test is actually not too bad to study for and do well on. We haven't gotten them back yet so maybe I shouldn't speak too soon -- I might've done terribly and will fail the class [Death.]
Oh well. Last night was fun. Dinner at a restaurant we'd been to before, then out to Corner Bar with everyone. We watched a little of the Euro2008 soccer game, but since it was Italy (the World Champions) playing, and they were LOSING terribly to Netherlands, the soccer crowd grew a little "hostile" in Italy. So we ditched that idea and went out instead. Fun times ensued.
I did some laundry today. In the sink. It's pretty entertaining to watch actually. I look ridiculous. But I guess it works! As long as my mind thinks they're clean then that works for me. Who cares if they're actually clean.
We have a group trip to Pisa tomorrow, and Hillary, Nicole and I (along with some others from the trip) are headed to the Italian Riviera known as the Cinque Terre. We'll be there tomorrow night and Thursday. Then we leave Thursday evening for Florence again because on our last trip, we found this great bike tour through Tuscany that looks LEGIT. I literally cannot wait. I'm thinking this is gonna be one of the highlights of the trip. It's 13 miles and we stop at a vineyard and do wine tasting (1 mile in – those last 12 should be interesting) and stop and taste different olive oils at one place (again, on a bike tour?) and we stop for lunch together and everything and it was a really great price and had tons of great reviews so that's Friday. I'll definitely be sure to take pictures and talk about that when I get back. Then Saturday the whole group meets in Florence to do tours there so that'll be exciting.
I can't believe how fast this is going by. We've been here over 2 weeks now, and we're gone until Saturday night, then we leave again next Wednesday on our last free days to Capri and get back the 20, and do another trip to Rome and then we're done. So we've got a busy rest of the trip but it'll be so awesome. We all get closer as a group as the trip goes on which is great. I've made some friends here in Orvieto – servers, baristas, etc. and they're all so cool and friendly [The guy pictured with me and Hill is Igor - the waiter at the restaurant next to our hotel. He gives us HUGE discounts everytime because he likes the SMU group. Holla.]
OK, off to pack. Hope everyone is having a fantastic summer still. Heard the recital went well! Someone with video of LAO's dances put them on youtube or something so I can watch!
Live High. Live Mighty. Live Righteously.

Good choice for a title - one of my favorite Mraz songs. Pictures of Tuscany will be asked for, so take them prodigiously.
